Racing Saturday 5-24-08 @ Auto City (& 5-17 RESULTS)
Season Opener - Saturday 4-19-08 - RESULTS!
4/23/08 Saturday was the big debut day! Michael and his number 22 Auto City
Super Stock took to the track, and he did good, and lets' not forget that the weather
was awesome!! The night started out with a few practice sessions, they went well -
as we broke in a new set of tires. Then qualifying of the ACSS 11 car field took
place. That went well also. Mike was in the 7 car heat race, following the 4 car
dash. He opted to start in the rear - which is an option rookies can take - so he did
that, and finished that 10 lap race where he started. Then the 30 lap Feature came
up and after 2 restarts, we had the same results in the end, but we are glad we did
finish, and the car rolled on the trailer with no new scratches or dings. So, all-in-all, it
was a good night. First one down . . .

skies cleared just in time to get the racing in at Auto City Speedway this past
weekend. Fighting a loose condition on Saturday took the number 22 out of the
feature race on lap 4, to take 11th place, but we'll be back for next week's race. So
check the weather channel for the latest info on the status of the weather and in the
meantime, we'll think positive thoughts & hope to see you at the track.

5/25/08 It was a good night of racing and I think luck was on our side. It was a nice sunny
day and cool night for the 14 cars in the Auto City Super Stock (ACSS) races at the Clio
based speedway. The #22 car, with some chasse changes, was much better than last
week. In the 8 lap, 10 car heat race, the number 17 car blew his rear end, & spun-out
right in front of the #22, covering the window and front end with fluid, but we finished the
heat unscathed. In the 30 lap feature, with 3 cautions, the #22 finished in 11th place, out
of a 14 car field. On the last lap, the #72 blew a motor, covering turns 3 and 4 with oil,
smoke & cars were all over, and the #22 dirt tracked through the oil, just barely keeping
off the wall in turn 3, but finished the race in one piece, making it a good night of racing
after all. Be sure to come out to the track this Saturday May 31st, for Autograph
Night, to see all the cars & drivers up close and receive some great give-aways!

6/1/08 Today started out with something out of the ordinary - we entered the racecar in
the Swartz Creek Hometown Days Parade which started @ noon, and traveled though
downtown Swartz Creek. Thousands came out to see over 100 entrants parade by on a
wonderful warm Saturday afternoon. Thanks go out to our neighbor, Garry Bundy and
his ZR2 Blazer, for towing the car in the parade for us! That was FUN!
The temperature at the track last night was perfect for another great night of racing!
Once again, 14 cars in the Auto City Super Stock (ACSS) Class took to the pavement.
Set up on the #22 car is coming along and Mike is getting more comfortable behind the
wheel, and it shows as a few more 10th's of a second were shaved off in qualifying. The
8 lap, 5 car heat race, was uneventful, and we finished that race and got ready for the
half hour autograph session! All the cars, drivers & teams hit the track and then the fans
spilled onto the pavement with a mission to get all the goodies, giveaways and
autographs from their favorite drivers. In the 30 lap feature, the #22 was looking good
keeping up with the group throughout the race. The 22 Car finished the race in 12th
place.

race which put the # 22 on the front row where he did a little fender rubbing to finish
6th. In the 30 lap feature race we started on the pole again and took the field of 11
cars to the green flag. After two cautions and a red flag to clean the track we held on
to 9th place for the night.
Mike and Lynn would like to thank the neighborhood support who showed up in the
stands this weekend to enjoy a fun night of racing. Come join us on June 21st for
retiree night at the big half mile in Clio Michigan.

set goals and each week we meet or exceed the goals. This week we made gains in
qualifying and some other personal goals. Auto City is a very tough track to race
and very competitive group of veteran racers that we work very hard to run with. We
finished the night holding 11th place out of 14 cars in our class. I would like to extend
thanks to all the friends, family and other race teams, who help out and support us at
home and at the track.
