Plan B Racing LLC

ABOUT US
Being long time auto racing fans, prior to taking up the
sport, we visited and enjoyed watching races ath the local
short tracks for many years.   In 2005, a new racecar class
(pure stock) came to Owosso Speedway.  In the spring of
2005, Plan B racing was born.  Our large garage was
transformed in a race shop.  A 1989 Chevrolet Caprice was
found and with help from my father-in-law and racing
friends, we built our first racecar.  The car became known
as “Underdog”.  In the first season (2005) with “Underdog”,
we finished 2nd in points in the pure stock class at Owosso
Speedway.  We raced once at the Dixie Motor Speedway
that year also and took a third place finish out of an 18-car
field for our first outing on that 1/3 mile pavement.

In 2006 “Underdog” and I raced every weekend, surviving
two wrecks, and avoiding many others.  Running as one of
the top five cars in the pure stock class at Owosso
Speedway, we ended up once again taking 2nd in points for
the 2006 season.

In the late summer of 2006, we partnered up with another
team, to race the Limited Late Model class at Owosso
Speedway and Dixie Motor Speedway.  In 2007, we raced
10 races between the two speedways and shared the seat
to enjoy the sport of racing.

In fall of 2007, Plan B Racing LLC purchased a Chevy
powered Pontiac, Super Stock Late Model (Howe) racecar
and began racing a full schedule at Auto City Speedway in
Clio, Michigan in 2008.

In April 2008 team 22 started testing at Auto City
Speedway, one of hardest auto racing short tracks in
Michigan.  It was the greatest experience and an enjoyable
one for team 22.  With a rough start, things just got better
and better throughout the season, ending up with a
checkered flag and placing 14th in points overall, out of the
25 registered drivers, which we were very happy with for
the first season outcome.  We competed in 11 of the 17
scheduled races, with 6 rain outs throughout the 2008 race
season.

Our second year 2009 with Auto City Super Stocks started
out a little rough when Team 22 suffered two hard wrecks,
but lots of hard work and good friends we came back to
finish the season taking 8th in points out of about 20
registered drivers.  Just after the season ended plan were
in the works for the 2010 racing season
